Morazan Salvadorian Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Amazing Salvadorian food. I got pupusas and they were SO GOOD. Lots of options for my gluten free fellows - basically everything is good since they're made with masa. Will definitely be telling everyone I know to come visit here when they're in the area. Note that the sign outside says Cuscatlan instead of Morazan!
The food is delicious. Don't go on a busy day. The wait for my food was 30 minutes, but I can say it was hot and delicious.
I’ve never been disappointed with the food. It’s not super fast, but it always tastes great! I love that they are willing to make pupusas with rice flour—I’m allergic to corn but still get to enjoy a childhood favourite. Highly recommend this place!
Best papusas I've had, made to order. Fresh, good ingredients, extremely fair prices. Very kind souls running this place, the food is made with love, ingrained in culture, the service shows they treat their restaurant like a lifestyle, a piece of home that they're gladly willing to share with the community.
It's my first time came here. The foods are really great! Pupusas is the item you have to try. Will come back soon and try others.
Really good, wholesome fresh-tasting food. Prices are very reasonable too. Takes a little longer for the food to come out but you can tell everything was made when ordered, and arrives piping hot. The couple that run it are so warm and nice and keep the place super neat and clean. We’ll be back for sure!
Finally made it during open hours. Wow what a delicious meal. We ordered the pupusas, pan, pastelitos, tamales, empanada and yuka frita. There were four sauces provided: a red tomato water and green tomatillo and jalapeno, a red salsa with the yuca and a red chicken base for the pan. The tamale was wrapped in banana leaves and not made with masa and lard but light, fluffy and delicious. We watched someone else fill their pupusas with the salted slaw, but we ate too soon to try. The pan was filled with sweet beets and plenty of veggies and quite worth a return visit being stuffed with juicy tender marinated chicken. The yuka was cut thick enough to be moist in the center and delicious with crunchy deep fried pork pieces somehow cooked long enough to take on the texture of chicharrons. The empanada was an unexpected treat we ordered with banana encasing beans that finished the meal with a smile.
Honestly, good service and a convenient and quiet location. Food was decently made but quite bland. Not sure if that’s just the style, but it didn’t quite do it for us. Very cheap and affordable. Definitely a very economical option.
